Sideways baby

This is the newest picture of the baby. You can see its right eye at the top and the nose next to it and the five dots at the top right are its fingers. They say she`s got a Japanese nose - wide and short rather than my nose - long and bent.
She`s still healthy though. She weighs 1450 grams approximately. There`s one problem that she`s not in the right position so Reiko has to do some exercises which involve kneeling with her hands on the floor and bum in the air for 10 minutes and then lying on her side for another 30 minutes before she goes to sleep and when she wakes up in order to force the baby into the correct position.
It was a bit of a shock but I talked today to a private student I have and she had the same problem and her kid is now 13 and all fine and healthy. We`re going back next week to see if the exercises have worked.

My wife had heard about moxibustion (burning a big cigar of Chinese herbs in close proximity to the little toes) as a means of making the baby change position in the case of a possible breech birth, but we both thought it was a bunch of mumbo-jumbo… Until we mentioned it to our obstetrician, who told us that it was known to work and was actually listed in the medical journals as a valid method. Still sounds odd, but when explained in the context of acupuncture, it kinda makes sense. See this article, about halfway down—but don’t let the crazy-looking lady in the picture scare you (why would someone photograph somebody with bright red hair on a green background?!): http://www.birthinternational.com/articles/andrea13.html
Good luck!
