About my bag of swag

Today was varied starting with the worst lesson I have taught yet and finishing with receiving a large bag of swag including a large origami shape and an elastic band firing gun made out of chopsticks. (see below for picture) YES!
I taught at an elementary school with four fluent teachers in English. This seemed a bit excessive to me but the kids spoke good English. Sometimes when I teach kids, they will say random things to me in English such as, “What sport do you like?” as it`s the most recent thing they`ve learnt at their private English lessons or whatever. These people were scary. The first lesson was slow and boring with repetitive droning of no.s and answers. Their attitude could best be summed up by the sound “ungh”
The other lessons were better but the final lessson was the best. I had to do nothing but listening. The children in groups of five gave presentations on origami, Japanese games and places of interest in Japan. Considering that at their age I was just learning the French for phrases such as, “Hello my name is Simon. What do you do at the weekend?” I was suitably impressed. All in all, I went away with some Japanese marbles, a silhouette cutout of a swan, the elastic band firing gun and lots of origami. A nice bag of swag.
