Because scratching feels so good

It`s hot here in Japan. It`s hot in a lot of places I know but it`s hot here. By 7:00 the temperature is already around 23 degrees and it averages between 33-35 everyday. My bedroom is like a sauna and if I wake up after 7 or 8 I`m and drenched in sweat and deafened by the hordes of cicada.

But I don`t really mind the heat. It is far preferable than the bitter evil cold. I haven`t worn a jumper since April and I don`t intend to until late October or early November. What gets me with the heat is the dreaded mosquito predominantly having to slap myself like a kid with Tourettes every two minutes in a vain attempt to kill them.

I have often woken up in the middle of the night from bites. I don`t mind them taking my blood. I have a lot of blood to give. There just must be a way for evolution to make us both happy. Let them take my blood, give me peace.
