If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

When I first came to Japan, I spent Sundays visiting palaces, temples and sampling the local culture. Two years in and it`s DIY shops, supermarkets and baby stores.

In the latter place was where I spotted this. I don`t know whether to be amazed at the ingenuity or appalled at the poor kid`s smile. I hope he was being paid well.

This is a tray you wear when you`re having your hair cut to save you from picking them from the floor and instead damning you to a lifetime of humiliation and ridicule.

I’ve been seeing those around in stores too, and I’m in the same quandary you are: I don’t know whether to laugh at this thing or be freaked out by it! I’m going with the former, at least for now…

      How funny!

At first I had thought that it was for kids who had sloppy eating habits!

This is the best idea ever! I don’t have kids but if I did, I’d use this. Not for haircuts (because I wouldn’t be cutting the hair myself) but for food. No mess! Perfect! And it’s pink…even better!

      HI,

I CUT MY OWN HAIR AND WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE OF THESE. DO YOU KNOW HOW I COULD GET ONE ?
