Whilst we were in Tokyo we went to the Tsukishima area. This area is famous for monjayaki. A sort of Japanese snack food in the Tokyo area similar to but less (substantial)to the Kansai area`s okonomiyaki.

This is the wall of the monjayaki restaurant we ate at where Brad Pitt also once dined.

Westerners jogging around the emperor`s palace, Westerners on every street, Western families, subway stations which take 10 minutes to get out of, shadows cast by the toll roads above, friendly policemen, crowds, menus in English, delicious Chinese food, trains every two minutes, a multitude of multicolour taxis, bridges, stores with six underground parking floors. History, Power, Weight. New friends, new heights, new depths. Surprise. I wasn`t shortchanged. Tokyo.

I`m back from Tokyo had a whirlwind tour which I`ll present to you when I`m less worn down from the commute back to Osaka. May I leave you with Tokyo Tower in the meantime.

I`m off to Tokyo in a couple of days for Reiko`s friend`s wedding and we will have one free day to ourselves so I can be a tourist. Can you recommend any good places to go see?
