Interpretive drama lessons

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I changed jobs in April and now I work at three kindergartens, teach seven year olds at an elementary school and do English lessons in the evening all with the same company.

I thought I`d prefer the elementary school as I have a lot of experience and it`s close to my house but the kindergartens are the most interesting at the moment.

The children give almost unconditional love to you and I`ve only made two cry. (No, it wasn`t for throwing pencils at them.)

The downside is they all seem to want to punch me in the testicles, seemingly tapping into virgin power sources leaving me wincing with tears in my eyes.

In these lessons it`s like leading an interpretive drama class:

OK everyone be a lion!
Rarrrr!
Now an elephant!
Arooooo!
Now Jump! Drive! Play!

How do you express “play” or “have” anyway? Next week I`m going to ask them to express the problem of the human condition set to Polish folk music. Tune in for the video.

Sounds like good experience for a father-to-be.
