I’ve been recently struggling with the function keys on my mac not working. They would beep but F11 wouldn’t get rid of everything on my screen and the display wouldn’t brighten or dim on command.
Then I found somewhere that by deleting the file at /Users/”home”/Library/Preferences/.com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist and restarting magically stops the problem. I’ve put this solution here so that I can find it again easily in the future.
