Anyone know what kind of connection this is on the side of my TV? I want to connect stuff to it and can’t decipher the manual.

That’s a D-tanshi (D端子) connector. Here’s a list of cables like that at Yodobashi:

Perhaps so you can connect a computer to the TV? A lot of newer HD TVs allow this.

If you just need a simple translation, it is “D2 image” and “left and right audio”. Good luck hooking up everything!

It’s a D2 connector and probably supports 640×480 out to a computer monitor and/or maybe component out.
      I can’t remember for sure.

The D4 connector is the newer kind and is the one that supports for sure the component out.

It’s a pretty obscure connector pretty much just used in japan.

      check your users manual
the specs should be readable at least.
