Of Re and German tourists

This is the hiragana RE (pronounced as the “le” in let.) I took this in Shinsaibashi, whilst out and about in Osaka showing the visiting German bloke around the city.
I really enjoy showing people around Osaka as I get to play at being tourist again. It means you can get away with doing things as a tourist you wouldn`t normally do if you were trying to blend in (hide?) in “normal” life.” These include going right up to someone and taking their picture without asking or just having an excuse to go somewhere you wouldn`t normally go in your daily life.
The German although being a terrific bloke has managed to shame me by having learned more Japanese in two weeks than I managed in half a year. This has however helped kickstart my learning attempts which constantly suffer from stutters and small bursts which can only be a good thing.
