I recently found out that it is perfectly legal and relatively socially acceptable in Japan to marry your cousin. This came as a shock as it`s what they do in Shelbyville isn`t it?

Update: Now that I`ve done some online research I`ve found out it`s legal in England and the rest of Europe and in some parts of USA (from a site which seemingly wishes that everyone could/would marry their cousins.

The world is shattering around me now.
