Simon Spawn

It`s been interesting breaking the news of our forthcoming baby to my friends and family. I haven`t been able to tell any of my friends or relations until yesterday and it`s been hell keeping it all in. When it was confirmed that it`s heart was beating we let the cat out of the bag. I told my parents on Sunday and some of my close friends today via MSN. The general reaction has been surprise, shock and then overwhelming good will back from everyone.
I called my mum last night and told her, she screamed with joy, said “Oh that is good news!” and then fell over in a rush to tell my Dad. Other responses via MSN have been “No Shit!” and “What! Ahahaha!” (I wasn`t quite sure how to take that one)
Of course it all seems so real and unreal at the same time. Only by telling my friends and relatives and hearing their reactions is it really starting to sink this end. I know that all being well in around eight months a little Simon spawn will hopefully pop out of Reiko but that`s in eight months. I guess it will only truly sink in when it`s out.
