On a slightly lighter note how about a dead tuna? Er…

The only tuna I ever saw in England was diced and came in tins. It was a shock to me to see that they were absolutely massive and perhaps capable of swallowing your head whole if they so had the carniverous inclination.

This was taken at a cherry blossom festival near to Osaka Castle last April.

THis is a great image very colourfull and its good to see something which I probably would never get to see. I’m from England as well so I can relate to the shock of seing a tuna like this outside its can ;-)

crikey! how many tins come from one tuna of that size!!

Hell yeah, I love me some tuna, and any one who cooks it is committing a waste and a travesty.

Actually, tuna is excellent in almost all forms … cooked or raw.

I wonder about the first person to catch a tuna … certainly makes those old fairy tales about an old man pulled into the sea by an ancient magical talking fish seem much more plausible.

The first one I saw was in a supermarket in Paris, and I was similarly shocked about the size of them. For some reason, those small tins suggest small fish, not monsters of the sea.
